It can be difficult to ask for help when you don’t know who to turn to. I am here to help you positively transform your life and guide you through your hardships. Using a variety of evidence-based techniques, I will help you reconnect to existing strengths. These techniques include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and solution focused models allow me to listen with intention and support you as you endure this difficult journey. Showing compassion, building trust and responding to each individual’s needs to support the progress and the changes you wish to make.

 

Experience

I am currently obtaining my master’s degree in social work at Western New Mexico University. I am an intern here at the Counseling Place to gain. I am currently a social worker at Highlands Behavioral Health. And have been there for the past four years and enjoy helping those in crises situations. I have experience working with adolescents, acute and non-acute adults. My bachelor’s degree is in Nutrition and Dietetics, my first master’s degree is in general psychology. I have equine assisted therapy experience from my previous internship last year and have worked at Fort Logan with acute adults since 2018. I have experience treating those with depression, anxiety and psychosis.

 

About

I was born in Florida and moved to Colorado when I was 9 years old. I have always loved the outdoors, loved hiking, camping, fishing and paddle boarding. I take a high interest in health and fitness as the body connects with the mind to ensure an optimal life. I have a passion for helping others achieve their goals mentally and physically.
