I am so glad you are here! Seeking help for challenges you are experiencing takes tremendous bravery, and can be incredibly challenging. You do not have to go through this journey alone. My goal is to create a place of safety and connection where we can collaborate to help you heal, learn, and grow. My approach is holistic, strengths-based, client-centered, and dedicated to empowering you to understand your strengths and see your resiliency. It is often through mistakes, struggle, and failure, that we learn how strong we truly are, and it is an honor to be with you on this journey towards self-discovery.
Experience
I am excited to join The Counseling Place team as a Social Work Intern! I am pursuing my master’s in social work from Colorado State University, and feel incredibly passionate about helping people on their journey towards mental health and wellness. I have my bachelor’s degree in psychology and have worked for the last 12 years in the school system providing social emotional support and vocational learning and development for young adults. I use a transtheoretical, trauma-informed approach to therapy, with a focus on whole-person healing. I have training in TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT and will be completing my EMDR training this Fall.
About
I grew up in Arizona and moved to Colorado for college where I found my place, and my people. I love to connect with nature, and have found peace in Colorado’s beauty. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my partner and two children. I love to read, sing, practice yoga, and explore Colorado’s great outdoors!
